DID YOU ALWAYS WANT TO BE A WRITER?
ANSWER: Every author is guaranteed being asked this age old question at some point during their career so I thought: 'Why not answer it on my website?' The short answer is absolutely! I have always wanted to write for as long as I can remember. In class, I was the one who relished at the thought of writing a fictional piece of writing when I was supposed to be doing my Maths homework! It is as short and as simple as that.

WHAT INSPIRED YOU TO WRITE THE VITH ELEMENT SERIES?
ANSWER: The inspiration for The VIth Element series was actually devised due to my various daydreams about the kind of superpowers I would like to possess. Currently, I would like to possess the ability to control all the elements (I know that’s greedy but it's the truth) and this fantasy is relieved through the character of Alexandra a.k.a. Alex Raven. I am also a (super)fan of superhero movies and, although I haven’t really got a favourite superhero or movie, Iron Man is a pretty close contender!

HOW DO YOU SET ABOUT PLANNING A NOVEL?
ANSWER: When planning a novel, I use the “eclectic” method. Sometimes, I plan whole books/series. Sometimes I write as I go along, meaning ideas will randomly pop into my mind. Sometimes I jot down ideas on my i-pad/phone when I’m sitting on the bus and sometimes, I will wake up in the middle of the night with the desperate urge to write an idea down on a piece of scrap paper. This usually ends up with me getting annoyed because I couldn’t find a pen or I’ve knocked over the bedside lamp!

WHO DO YOU ENJOY WRITING THE MOST - HEROES OR VILLIANS?
ANSWER: This is a very tricky question. Therefore, I might just cop out. I thoroughly enjoy writing both heroes and villains, although I will argue and say that every hero has a dark side and vice versa. I would like to think that this belief is expressed in my writing, but I will leave this to reader discretion. All in all though, I am a sucker for a villian and Felonious Magnus Mortimer has stolen quite a substantial piece of my heart!
