Hi everyone,
Well...I can't quite believe it. A year ago today, I published my first ever novel - Awakening - through Kindle Direct.
At first and even now, a year later, I was nervous about sharing my work with the big wide world. It's a scary thing to spend hour after hour crafting away at a book, only to send it off ready to be read and judged by people from all over the world, not really knowing if they will like what and how you write. Even so, I have come to learn to ignore such sentiments and focus on the wonderful feelings that come with such an opportunity - one that has not always been so readily available at the finger tips of aspiring authors.
Joy is now mixed with excitement and anticipation and I felt this when I pressed that 'PUBLISH' button for the first time. Needless to say, I have many more novels in me that I hope to share with you over the years (whether that is a good thing I'll leave up to you to decide). Nevertheless, if I had not plucked up the courage to publish Awakening, then I would not be here today, certainly with the great fortune of currently being an Amazon Bestseller in three categories and forming some wonderful relationships with readers and writers alike!
